Members of the Springfield Township Fire Department recently participated in the Henrik Zetterberg Foundation Red Wings Smoke Detector Drive & Fundraiser. The Fire Department received 300 smoke detectors, which will be distributed first to residents in the Oak Hill and Spring Grove mobile home parks, then to low-income residents on a first come first serve basis.

The program is being spearheaded by Lieutenant Ryan Hart, who also leads the department's Fire Prevention Education program.
