davisburg road is now open to traffic


Springfield Township contracts with the Oakland County Sheriff Office for police services.  The Oakland County Sheriff's Office has a substation located in the lower level area of the Civic Center at 12000 Davisburg Road, Davisburg.

The current contract for police services includes:  Sign for Oakland County Sheriff's Substation at Springfield Township Civic Center

9 Road Patrol Deputies

1 Patrol Investigator (detective)

1 Detective Sgt/Substation Commander

Additional police services provided by the Sheriff's Office include: Traffic 416 Enforcement, Alcohol Unit Enforcement, Aviation Unit support, Special Response Team support, Marine Unit support, and other OCSO police services.

Deputies assigned to the Springfield Township substation cover the Township 7 days per week, 24 hours per day.

The Springfield Township substation is not manned 24 hours a day.  If a citizen needs to make a police report or contact a Sheriff's Deputy, they can call the Oakland County Sheriff Office Communications Center (non-emergency dispatch) @ 248-858-4951 (option #8), or dial 911 if there is a police, fire, or medical emergency.  Deputies can meet citizens at the substation for reports and other information that may be needed at anytime.  The dispatch center will send a car to the station to meet the citizen if needed.  Citizens can call our dispatch center at any time 24 hours per day and request to have a deputy sent to their residence or place of business to file a police report or to speak with a deputy on any  law enforcement related matter.

House Checks
Are you a homeowner leaving for vacation or extended time away from home? You can securely submit an online House Check form to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to put your address on a list for Extra Patrols. Deputies will make checks of your home on all three shifts, walk around the home, pull into the driveway, etc.

You can also pick up the House Check Request form in person at the Supervisor's Office counter or at the OCSO Substation, both located at the Springfield Township Civic Center: 12000 Davisburg Rd, Davisburg 48350
