Donations Requested

Fishing Anyone?
Springfield Township Parks and Recreation has fishing poles available for your use, courtesy of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. There is no cost to use the fishing poles; however, a driver's license or a $5 deposit is required for each pole used.
Poles are available for use Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 to 5:00 pm through the Parks and Recreation office. |
Advertisement Space Just For You!
Springfield Township Parks and Recreation has space available in our brochures for advertising. Currently, we distribute our brochures to over 15,000 homes twice a year in parts of Independence Township, Rose Township, Springfield Township and White Lake Township. Listen Up Sports Fans!
Sport bags are available to rent. Each sports bag includes a set of horseshoes, a set of shuffleboard equipment, a Frisbee, jump ropes, a volleyball, a basketball, a football, a soccer ball and a playground ball.
For use of a sports bag, a $75 refundable security deposit and a $25 rental fee are required.
Sports bags are available for use Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 to 5:00 pm, or by reservation through the Parks and Recreation office. |

Currently, our brochures are mailed out twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. It is our goal that all Springfield Township residents receive our brochure. If for some reason, you did not receive our brochure in the mail, please contact the Parks and Recreation office at 248-846-6558 and we will see to it that you receive one. If you are not a resident of Springfield Township and would like to receive our brochures through the mail, please call the Parks and Recreation office at 248-846-6558 and request to be put on our mailing list.

Friends of the Parks and Recreation Group
A Friends of the Parks group has been formed and is looking for individuals that love their Township parks and all the wonderful programs that are offered through the Parks and Recreation Department. Friends of the Parks will raise funds to support families who need a little extra help so they can enjoy the many aspects of Springfield Township Parks & Recreation. Friends of the Parks will also raise funds for materials and equipment for the parks and the many events put on through the Springfield Township Parks & Recreation Department for the enjoyment of our community. The goals of Friends of the Parks is to promote and educate the public on the usefulness of the programs and events that are offered and the resources that are contained within the Township park system. Occasionally meetings may be held to brainstorm on great ways to do all the above.
