A Friends of the Parks group has been formed and is looking for individuals that love their Township parks and all the wonderful programs that are offered through the Parks and Recreation Department.  Friends of the Parks will raise funds to support families who need a little extra help so they can enjoy the many aspects of Springfield Township Parks & Recreation.  Friends of the Parks will also raise funds for materials and equipment for the parks and the many events put on through the Springfield Township Parks & Recreation Department for the enjoyment of our community.  The goals of Friends of the Parks is to promote and educate the public on the usefulness of the programs and events that are offered and the resources that are contained within the Township park system.  Occasionally meetings may be held to brainstorm on great ways to do all the above.  If you are interested in joining, please visit our website at http://www.friendsoftheparks.wordpress.com or email friendsofstpr@yahoo.com
