Stabenow, Peters Announce More than $4 Million for Taylor & Springfield Township Fire Departments
Michigan Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters today announced more than $4.4 million to help the Taylor Fire Department and Springfield Township Fire Department in Southeast Michigan recruit and hire more firefighters. This support comes from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant program.
Taylor Fire Department in Wayne County will receive $4,303,500. Springfield Township Fire Department in Oakland County will receive $152,344. View full press release here.
Oakland County Animal Control Annual Dog Census
Beginning August 24, Oakland County Animal Control will be going door to door in Springfield Township to verify that all dogs are licensed as required by the Michigan State Dog Law of 1919. Census workers will be driving marked County vehicles and will be wearing County uniforms with proper identification. Call 248-391-0286 for questions or concerns.
