Athletic Field Fees

Shultz Park
Shultz Park offers two youth baseball and softball fields.

Shiawassee Basin Preserve
This park offers four adult size baseball and softball fields.
* Prices are per game/practice per field.
* Reservations for fields are for 2-hour blocks of time per field.
* Please make checks payable to: Springfield Township Parks & Recreation.

Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of $200.00 is required for rentals. A refundable security deposit of $500.00 is required for tournament rentals.

Type 1 -Baseball     Fee: $75.00
This fee shall include the reservation of the field, setting out the bases and chalking/painting of field and general grooming of the field.
      
Type 2- Baseball     Fee: $30.00
For practices. The fields will not be marked or groomed, and bases will not be set out.
       
Tournaments
  • $75.00 per field for the first game of the day (along with one of the following options)
  • Option 1: $30.00 per field per game for all additional games that day. This fee does not include chalking.
  • Option 2: $35.00 per field per game for all additional games that day. This fee includes chalking after the first game.
  • Staff Fee: $200.00 per day for hours scheduled up to 8 hours
  • Renter is responsible for the costs of drying agents used to make field playable during rain events. Drying agents cost $25 a bag. Parks and Recreation will not charge renter for the first bag used.
  • Pavilion Fee: $100.00 (This fee is applied if all fields are used at one location per day.)

Note:
Springfield Township Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel any reservations if the office does not receive all required documents and payment within five business days. Payment will be made at the time that the application has been accepted. Full payment must be received for the fields to be considered reserved within five business days.
If a team or organization is reserving a field for Saturday or Sunday and they want the fields chalked, the team must know that the markings will be done on Friday and the Parks and Recreation cannot guarantee that the chalk will stay in place until the day of play.
