Davisburg Heritage Festival
Learn about the town you cherish while enjoying a day of family fun at the Davisburg Heritage Festival. The weekend will be filled with a Pancake Breakfast, Antique Tractor Display, Cemetery Tours, Wagon Ride Park Tours, Historical Demonstrations, a Parade through downtown, Family fun games, and who could pass up the very popular Hay Maze and much, much more. Most activities are FREE.

Halloween Costume Consignment Sale
SELLERS: Do you have a ton of old Halloween costumes sitting around your house? If so, drop them off at the Springfield Township Parks and Recreation office and we will have a Spooky September Sale. You determine the price of your costumes and we sell them for you. Springfield Township Parks & Recreation will keep 10% of each costume sold (minimum of $1 per selling item) to cover administration expenses. All costumes are due by Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Items must be priced and sorted when dropped off.

Road Rally
Join us for some fun, excitement and mystery. By solving puzzles and/or clues, each one taking you to a different destination within Davisburg and the surrounding communities, everyone will end up at the same location for dinner. Each team is timed and points are tabulated based on what place they finish, by answering various clues in their entirety and by choosing to do the extra credit options. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams at dinner. Door prizes will also be awarded at dinner. Registration fees do not include dinner. Each team must have three (but no more than six) players. All team players must ride in the same vehicle. A minimum number of registered teams are required by September 14. A materials list and list of rules will be e-mailed the week of September 17. The theme and extra credit options will be included in the materials packet. Mail registration is required by Friday, September 14. Registration will be accepted in person ONLY after September 14.

Perennial Swap
Have your perennials grown out of control and you would like to get rid of some of them? Or would you like something new to look at in your garden? This is a great way to get that garden or flower bed started. Join us for our annual perennial swap! Anyone interested in swapping their bright and beautiful perennials can attend. Take home as many perennials as you bring. Perennials MUST be in groups of two to three root clumps and in 4" or 6" containers. Please label all plants and know whether they grow in the shade, sun or both. Swap is held rain or shine. Please dress weather appropriate.

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt
Eggstra, Eggstra, Read All About It! Back By Popular Demand, The Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt For Teens Is Coming To Davisburg Again! Participants are required to bring a flashlight and something to put their eggs in. Door prizes, pizza and a beverage will be provided. Awards will also be given. Egg hunt will be held rain or shine, so please dress weather appropriate. A minimum number of participants are required to hold the hunt. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged but will be accepted at the door if minimum is met!

Easter Egg Hunt
Come out to Mill Pond Park's 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and meet the Easter Bunny himself! Children will collect bright, colorful, candy or toy filled eggs. Pictures with the Easter Bunny may be taken with your camera for no additional charge. Pictures will be available for $3*. Prize eggs may be found during the hunt. Children must bring their own Easter basket. Egg hunt will be held rain or shine, so please dress weather appropriate. Parking is limited. Egg hunts will begin promptly at 11 am and 2 pm. PLEASE ARRIVE A HALF AN HOUR EARLY! Resident rates apply to those residing in Springfield Township. Registration is required by 5 pm on Thursday, April 5th. Take A Hike
Celebrate National Trails Day by joining long time Springfield Township resident Nelson Haynes for a nature hike. This is a great way to meet other hikers while cleaning the park. We will be doing a little trail cleaning along the way so bring your gloves! Dogs are allowed but must be on a 6 ft. leash at all times. Hike is held rain or shine. Please dress weather appropriate and don't forget your hiking shoes and bug spray!

Youth Fishing Derby
Bring your fishing poles and lawn chairs and join us for our 13th Annual Youth Fishing Derby! This year's event is in cooperation with the DNR "Free Fishing Weekend", Davisburg Rotary, Springfield Township Fire Department, Oakland County Sheriffs and the Clinton River Watershed. A limited supply of fishing poles will be available for use and a limited supply of bait will also be available. Children are encouraged to bring their own poles, bait and tackle. Davisburg Rotary will be on hand to provide lunch for a small fee. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Derby is held rain or shine. Practice and registration begin at 12 pm and all contests begin at 12:30 pm. Prizes will be awarded beginning at 3 pm. If derby is called due to weather, prizes may be awarded earlier. Participants must be present to win and claim prizes.
Fishing licenses are NOT required. Catch and release is strongly encouraged. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but will be accepted at the registration booth.

Water Ski Show
Davisburg's own Spray Masters Water Ski Club & Show Team will be dedicating a performance to Springfield Township Parks and Recreation and friends. Come on out to Big Lake and see this amazing show filled with costumes and breathtaking skiing! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Maps to Big Lake are available through Parks and Recreation upon registration. Show is held rain or shine! Tickets will be available the night of the event.

Cow Pie Bingo
Experience the "sweet smell of success" at our cow pie bingo fundraiser. A cow will be turned loose in a secured area which has been marked off with numbered squares. The cow determines the winner by making the first "deposit" on one of the squares. This fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Pitch, Hit and Run event found on page 17.
