Youth Activities and Programs
Elementary Spanish
This class will really captivate your young child so they won't be asking "do we have to go?", but rather "can we go now?"
Colors, numbers, common phrases, and verbs will be learned through song, movement, and fun activities. 30 minutes of fun and learning that will definitely teach your child more than just "Hola" (Hello)! A minimum number of participants required. Resident rates apply to those residing in Springfield Township. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but will be accepted at the door provided the minimum has been met and there are still openings. All materials needed will be provided.

Lego We Do Robotics (Early Elementary)
Students in grades 2 & 3 will explore the concept of robotics by using the Lego We-Do Robotics kits. Themes such as Amazing Mechanisms, Adventure stories, Wild Animals and Play Soccer, will have students design and create a number of robotics models that integrate motors, tilt sensors and motion sensors. They will also learn the routines to program each of their creations to perform various tasks. This activity will serve and as early introduction to later Lego Robotics programs that will be available to them in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. Stop Motion Animation/Claymation
With this class, students will use different material and a computer programs (Claymation Studio) to learn how to create animated scenes on the computer. They will then be saved to DVD for them to keep at the classes end. This will be offered to 4th graders and up.

Indoor Volleyball Clinic
Holly Varsity Volleyball Head Coach Jamie Jones will lead this co-ed clinic to teach players the basic skills needed to play volleyball. Skills taught will include: passing, serving, hitting, setting, importance of teamwork and having fun. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ball if they have one. Some balls will be available. Fun games will be incorporated. No prior experience necessary. Resident rates apply to those residing in Springfield Township. A minimum number of participants are required to hold each session. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but will be accepted at the door provided the minimum has been met and there are still openings.

Sand Volleyball Clinic

Parent & Child Intro to Tennis
This is a fun program designed to introduce “the sport of a lifetime” in a fun, friendly environment allowing parents and children to learn together. Parents will be equipped to help their child continue to develop sound fundamentals after the class concludes. Racquets are not required but if you have one please bring it. No black soled shoes.

Learn To Play Tennis
For beginners & intermediate players. We’ll cover forehand & backhand ground strokes, the serve, volley and more. Rules scoring, history and strategy will be introduced. Players can expect a fun fast paced program and will be playing actual matches by the end of the session. Be sure to bring water.

Jr. Golf Lessons
Instructors from Shepherds Hollow Golf Club will provide an introduction to the game of golf, rules, equipment and etiquette. Full swing and short game fundamentals will be taught. Clubs are available, but if possible bring your own. Makeup dates due to weather will be arranged by the instructor. A minimum number of participants are required for each class/session. Class times may be combined/altered to meet the minimum requirement to hold the session. Resident rates apply to those residing in Springfield Township. Registration is required 7 days before the start date for each session.
